Nearly there...

For those just joining the blog, Linda Evans and Alison Chalker (Team Cool Beans) will be racing N222VW, a Cessna 182, from Prescott Arizona to Daytona Beach Florida. The route, shown above, has to be completed in four days, with mandatory timing at each of the stops. The race is against approximately fifty other all women teams, and scoring is determined by the individual handicap of each team. If you're curious you can find out all you need to know at the official ARC websitehttp://www.airraceclassic.org. Linda and I have each raced multiple times before, and we love the comradeship, the time spent with our girlfriends (including four teams from our local Chapter of The NinetyNines), the spectacular flying, and the competition. This year, on top of that, we'd love to have good clear flying weather the entire week, great tailwinds for everyone but particularly us, no mechanical difficulties, temperatures in the cockpit a pleasant 70 degrees... oh well, a girl can dream!!
