Airplane is ready

Billy O'Hara of BP Air, Lumberton NJ is our mechanic this year, and this weekend he signed off N222VW for its annual inspection. Billy and his team do a great job, and he even test flies and washes the airplane before releasing it. With the annual inspection done, I was able to complete the registration paperwork for the race, and submit it to race central; and to start scheduling the handicap check ride with our check ride pilot, fellow racer Mary Gibb.

You can see more details about the Air Race Classic (a transcontinental, all-women air race with its origins in 1929) at www.airraceclassic.org. This year's race is from Prescott Arizona to Daytona Beach Florida. We still have a lot of work to do to get ready!
